Creative director Neil Druckmann describes The Last of Us Part 3 as still being in the concept stages.
New details about the inner workings of developer Naughty Dog have come to light thanks to the release of Grounded 2: Making The Last of Us Part 2. The 2-hour documentary, showcasing the development of The Last of Us Part 2, has revealed that the studio’s next single-player game will not be The Last of Us Part 3.
As spotted by X (formerly Twitter) user Shinobi602, the studio seems to be working on a brand new single-player title. Creative director Neil Druckmann, however, does mention in the documentary that there is “probably one more chapter to this story”, mentioning that a concept for a sequel to The Last of Us Part 2 is there.
Grounded 2: Making The Last of Us Part 2 was released for free shortly after the release of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. The remastered release of the critically-acclaimed title features upgraded visuals, a new roguelike mode, and other bonuses on top of the already-impressive main story mode.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is available exclusively on the PS5.
