A prominent leaker has claimed that the horror game is making its way over to PS5 and PC, though it’s unknown whether it’ll do so as a remake or a remaster.
Sony’s slate of upcoming first party exclusives is looking thinner than it has in a while, but it looks like the company will be filling it up with the comeback of a beloved PS4 exclusive. According to prominent leaker billbil-kun, Until Dawn is set to be announced for PS5 and PC soon.
The leaker has claimed in a report published on Dealabs that the beloved 2015 Supermassive Games-developed horror title will be announced for PS5 and PC within the next fifteen days, possibly at the rumoured upcoming State of Play presentation. Incidentally, the leaker claimed yesterday that Death Stranding 2 (which is allegedly subtitled On the Beach) will also be getting a new trailer within that same timeframe.
The game will still be titled Until Dawn, though it’s unclear for now whether it’s coming back in the form of a remaster or a full-fledged remake- though the leaker speculates it’s likely to be the former. There’s no word yet on when the game will release on either PS5 or PC, or whether it will launch on both platforms simultaneously, but supposedly, it has been in development for at least a year.
Incidentally, Sony recently confirmed that it was working on a movie adaptation of Until Dawn. A re-release of the game to go along with that would make sense, especially given that’s exactly how the company handled The Last of Us.
