The action-adventure game’s remastered release features a number of new additions, including a roguelike survival mode.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is out now for PS5, and developer Naughty Dog has released a launch trailer to commemorate its release. Check it out below.
In addition to making visual and technical improvements to the game, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered also boasts a number of other additions, including the new roguelike survival mode No Return, early development slices of cut levels dubbed the Lost Levels, and a Guitar Free Play mode that lets you play various instruments using different characters.
The remaster also comes with new Trophies tied to No Return, though if you’ve played the original PS4 game, you will automatically unlock those Trophies in the remaster as well.
Retailing for $50, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered can also be purchased for $10 by those who own the game’s original PS4 version.
In our review of the remaster, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “With a campaign that’s only gotten better with time, a fantastic new roguelike mode, and a host of other new bonuses, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered serves as an excellent excuse to jump back into Naughty Dog’s stellar magnum opus.”
