Resident Evil 4 Remake on PS5 Will Get a Patch to Fix Flickering Lights Bug

Capcom has announced that while it is working on a fix for the flickering lights, the bug only seems to appear with a specific configuration of settings.

With the PS5 version of Resident Evil 4 Remake facing graphical issues that lead to flickering lights, publisher and developer Capcom has announced that it is working on a fix.

In a statement, Capcom has revealed that the flickering lights issues only pop up with a specific combination of settings. While the company has stated that its developers are working on releasing a fix, it has given instructions for players to avoid the problem in the mean time.

While waiting for the fix, PS5 players of Resident Evil 4 Remake are suggested to set the Depth of Field setting in the Display tab to off, and the Motion Blur setting in the Camera tab to on. While the studio is working on a more permanent fix, it doesn’t yet have a timeline for when the flickering issues will be resolved.

Resident Evil 4 Remake was just released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S this week. The PC version of the game has seen the biggest Steam launch for any Resident Evil game so far.
