Pre-orders can allegedly pre-load on January 12th. It’s reportedly a 76.164 GB download, close to the original’s install size.
Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered launches on January 19th, 2024, retailing for $49.99 on PS5. If you own the base game, it’s a $10 upgrade for the new features and content, but how does its install size compare to the original?
According to @PlaystationSize on Twitter, it’s a 76.164 GB download, with 1.000.020 being its version number. Though it’s slightly less than the PS4 version’s 78.3 GB launch install size, you may not require 100 GB of free space to download it. Pre-loading also reportedly begins on January 12th, midnight (which may correspond to your local time), though that’s only for pre-orders.
Stay tuned for more details and official confirmation from Naughty Dog in the coming weeks. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered includes improved visuals, two graphical modes, developer commentary and three Lost Levels that didn’t make it to the final game. A new roguelike survival mode, No Return, is also included, with ten playable characters, each with unique abilities.
