Exoborne doesn’t yet have a release date, but is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game was announced with a trailer.
Developer Sharkmob and publisher Level Infinite have announced a new extraction shooter, titled Exoborne. The game was announced during The Game Awards 2023 with a CG trailer, which you can check out below.
Exoborne currently doesn’t have a release date, and according to the announcement development on the game is still ongoing. With the trailer, the studio wants to showcase the game’s world and its vision.
Exoborne seems to be set shortly after an apocalyptic event of some sort, as humanity is on the verge of a global collapse after the failure of Project Rebirth. This has turned the world into a hostile place. The primary setting for Exoborne part of southeastern US.
Players are put in the shoes of survivors fitted with implants that allow them to use Exo-Rigs, and are called Reborn. This allows players to take on the deadly environments of the world as they fight against each other in their hunt for new supplies and weapons.
According to the announcement, Exoborne will also have a focus on verticality, and players will have to explore and fight their way through zones that make use of vertical space with various tools in their arsenal.
