With update 1.0 now available, Eremite Games will stop with bi-weekly updates and focus on long-term plans, including new content.
Acclaimed rogue-lite city-builder Against the Storm has exited early access and is now available on PC via Steam. It’s also playable for PC Game Pass subscribers. Check out the launch trailer below.
Eremite Games’ title was already pretty feature-complete before launch, but the 1.0 update brings something new: the Queen’s Hand Trial. Players must forge the Adamantine Seal and can’t lose a settlement or restart. You’ll only have a few upgrades with more unlocked in the Smoldering City but in a somewhat random fashion.
There are 25 picks with the option to buy one of three upgrades. You also have Fundamental Upgrades, which aren’t random and should help even the odds. As far as challenges go, the Queen’s Hand Trial is the toughest for seasoned players.
With Against the Storm leaving early access, the developer has confirmed that bi-weekly updates will no longer happen. However, it will still receive support with new content coming in the future.
