Lucilius is the boss in the fighting game’s Story Mode but will also become a playable DLC character in mid-January 2024.
During part 2 of its Granblue Showcase, Cygames unveiled new details about Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, which launches this month for PS4, PS5 and PC. It released a new trailer highlighting Story Mode, replacing the first game’s RPG Mode while including all its story content. There’s also a new original story while Lucilius, a major antagonist from the mobile game, also appears.
Lucilius will be a boss in Story Mode and a playable character via DLC in mid-January 2024. Based on the trailer, he seemingly had a hand in Nier’s predicament. The latter can summon a Primal Beast, Death, to fight for her. However, she’s become warped by the desire for acceptance. Head here to see her in action.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising launches on December 14th. In addition to Story Mode, it features new gameplay mechanics like Ultimate Skills and Dash Attack, while Triple Attack allows for overheads and low attacks. There’s also a new mini-game called Grand Bruise Legends to play between matches (which is also playable offline with bots).
