The multiplayer pirate game’s release date will allegedly be announced in the next couple of weeks.
Skull and Bones has gone hand-in-hand with delays pretty much since the day it was announced over six years ago, but the last year or so in particular has been a constant case of so-close-yet-so-far for the multiplayer pirate game. Once due out in November 2022, it got delayed into March, before being delayed again a couple of months before that window.
In October, Ubisoft said the game would launch sometime in Q4 of FY 2023/24 (i.e. sometime between January and March of 2024), and a specific release date for the title now seems to have leaked. As per a report published by Insider Gaming, Skull and Bones is now set to launch on February 16 next year. As per sources cited by the report, the new release date is likely to be announced in the next couple of weeks. The timing would suggest that an announcement at The Game Awards on December 7 could be likely.
Of course, when it comes to Skull and Bones and release dates, it’s best not to take anything as concrete, even if it ends up getting officially announced by Ubisoft. This is a game that has been delayed more times than you can count on one hand, after all.
Whenever it releases, Skull and Bones will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
