Lords of the Fallen Roadmap for 2023 Includes New Game+ and New Questlines

Following a very recent patch, developer Hexworks has unveiled their plans for the remainder of the year in a new Lords of the Fallen roadmap.

As shown in the graphic, players can expect multiple new quest lines to be added before the end of the year, all of which include unique new armor sets and weapons. Additionally, the game will receive two new spell packs, an inventory and stash expansion, continuous balancing and stability fixes, and an entirely new questline event.

Perhaps the most exciting piece of content on this roadmap is the introduction of a New Game+ mode, complete with game modifiers. These modifiers will allow players to change their subsequent playthroughs in all sorts of ways, truly customizing the experience to their liking. It’s sure to add a hefty chunk of replayability to the game.

Saül Gascon, Head of Studio at Hexworks, also commented on the team’s commitment to making Lords of the Fallen what the players want:

At HEXWORKS, we’re incredibly proud of the open relationship we’re fostering with our community. We are actively listening to their constructive feedback and working diligently to deliver what we believe, collectively, will elevate Lords of the Fallen even further. Every addition to the game is a labour of love, as we strive to push both it and the genre’s boundaries.

Hexworks has also confirmed that this is just the beginning of their support for Lords of the Fallen. Beyond 2023, the game will continue to receive meaningful updates, which the team plans to announce at a later date.

If you’re interested in Lords of the Fallen, you can check out our review here. We gave the game a 7.5/10 and said “just like the original that preceded it, Lords of the Fallen is a solid Soulslike game. Hexworks set a high bar for themselves, and while they didn’t quite reach the heights they were going for, they should be commended for what they have accomplished.”
