In case you didnât know, today is officially Mass Effect Day or more commonly known as N7 Day (November 7, get it?). To mark the occasion, BiioWare has not only revealed a bunch of new collectibles, but we even have a few teasers for the new Mass Effect game!
Titled âEpsilon,â the trailer â understandably â doesnât show any gameplay footage or even tangible info on the upcoming new entry in the franchise. However, we do get a look at a mysterious individual waking.
Before the teaser was revealed, we got the following message on the official site:
/////SECONDARY ENCRYPTION DETECTED
/////VJBSVU-XXXX-XXXXXXXX
/////ANDROMEDA DISTRESS SIGNAL DETECTED
/////YEAR SENT: [REDACTED]
/////AUDIO TRANSCRIPT: ALTHOUGH THEY SHOULD KNOW BY NOW NOT TO UNDERESTIMATE HUMAN [REDACTED]
When the timer reached zero, BioWare unveiled the teaser.
Of course, this all happened today because of N7 Day. For those curious, hereâs what BioWare showed off/announced today.
- Mass Effect & Dragon Age Dark Horse Comics are all available in a convenient package through a partnership with Humble Bundle that will benefit Childâs Play.

- New Collectibles from Sanshee including a set of plushees and pins featuring Grunt, Liara, and varren are now available to add to your collection.
Alongside that, Mike Gamble, Mass Effect Franchise Director, penned a message to fans.
Every November 7th, weâve all come togetherâdevelopers, superfans, regular fans, kinda-fansâto celebrate (and speculate about!) the games, stories, and community that make Mass Effect so special. Itâs a testament to the long-lasting appeal of this universe and the characters who call it home. Eleven years of N7 Days and sixteen years of Mass Effect later, the franchise continues to inspire our development team, and with each day, gives us the opportunity to create more adventures for you to have. Whether itâs one of the many who have been here since the original gameâs launch or those recently joining us at BioWare, we are all incredibly lucky to be envisioning this future.
That process is equal parts rewarding and challenging. Weâve asked ourselves many of the same questions youâve asked us over the years! What happened to everyone you know and love in the games? Who really died? Who had kids with whom? What does a baby volus sound like? What about all the galaxies? The endings! What the heck is going on with our asari scientist-turned-Shadowbroker? What about Sâ nevermindâŚyou get the idea. And of course, to those questions, there are answers, but youâll have to wait to hear them. And anything we do say wonât be easy to find, just like youâve come to expect from our #N7Day teases.
But for real⌠thank you. Thank you for everything, and allowing us to do what we do. We approach the future of this universe with gratitude and deep respect. Respect for youâthe community. Respect for the love and dedication youâve given to us. Respect for the history and the stories youâve created, and the characters youâve fallen in love with. And, respect for the future, and the opportunity to do something bigâsomething amazingâfor you.
