Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew Trailer Delves Into Open Structure and Magic, Reveals New Character

Mimimi Games talks about providing as much player freedom as possible and unveils Toya, the undead assassin cook who can teleport.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is the next big strategy stealth title from Mimimi Games, known for its like Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and Desperados 3. The developer is taking a different approach with the new game, aiming to “push the genre” and provide as much freedom to the player as possible. Check out the Developer Insight trailer below to learn more.

One of the coolest new additions with Shadow Gambit is magic, which opens up more opportunities for missions. Also, instead of a linear mission-based structure, players can explore the world and venture to separate islands freely, completing them in any order. Each island is a self-contained sandbox, and you can choose which crew to bring, determining your approach and providing a different experience.

The trailer also reveals the fourth member of your crew – Toya, the undead assassin cook. He can teleport long distances, so you can drop in, assassinate a guard and immediately get out. It’s also good for reconnaissance since he can make a hasty retreat if spotted.

Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew releases later this year for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
