PlayStation Access Controller Development Detailed In New Blog Post, New Logitech Accessory Also Announced

The PlayStation Access controller is en route to release on December 6, and Sony has shared some details about its development in a new blog post that you can check out through here. According to the blog, each aspect of the controller is designed to be highly accessible – even down to the packaging which can be opened with one hand.

The Access controller features a total of 19 interchangeable button caps and 3 stick caps which can be customized to one’s needs. Sony also announced an adaptive gaming kit which is a collaborative effort between Sony and Logitech, which features an array of buttons and pedals built to extend the accessibility of the controller. It’s set to launch in January 2024, and will be priced at $79.99.

The renewed interest in video game accessibility is undoubtedly one of the best things to happen in the games industry, and it’s great that Sony is going all-in with its efforts to make games available to everyone and anyone. Sony also recently announced the PS5 Slim which comes with a detachable disc drive
