A PC version of the mobile RPG has entered development, and Square Enix confirms it will support cross-progression across all platforms.
Square Enix and Applibot’s free-to-play mobile remake of Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis, launched worldwide earlier this month, and in its early days, the game seems to have enjoyed a great deal of success. In fact, Square Enix has also confirmed that it’ll be bringing the RPG to even more players.
Taking to Twitter via the game’s official account, Square Enix recently announced that Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis will be coming to PC, via Steam. A PC version of the title has entered development, and the company confirms it will also support cross-progression with the mobile versions. A release date for the PC release hasn’t yet been confirmed, however.
Whether that means we’ll eventually also be seeing Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis on consoles remains to be seen, though clearly, the game’s initial success has encouraged Square Enix to try and expand its audience.
Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis is available on iOS and Android.
