Nintendo has quietly announced the Switch 2 today with a short video.
In the video we can see that the screen is indeed bigger and the joycon connections have changed and there seems to be a new joystick design that may be because of the drift the handheld suffered from in the original switch. Backwards compatibility is confirmed with with digital and physical switch 1 games been playable on the Switch 2, however does note that it may not work the other way around and some Switch 2 titles will not be playable on the switch 1.
Nintendo plan to have a Nintendo Direct show for th Switch 2 soon as noted below. Hopefully we will know ,more about the new handheld then.
