Developed by Capcom and TiMi Studio Group, the free-to-play title features gliders and allies that can become playable characters.
If Monster Hunter Wilds isn’t enough to sate your monster-hunting desires, then good news – TiMi Studio Group and Capcom are working on a new spin-off for iOS and Android. Monster Hunter Outlanders doesn’t have a release date (outside of “coming soon”), but it will be free to play with microtransactions. Check the first trailer below.
Described as a survival game, TiMi Studio Group producer Dong Huang said in a press release that it “not only offers players an authentic hunting experience, but it does it in a massive open world featuring the community and social systems players are looking for today.”
All locales are seamlessly connected, and players can traverse using tools like ballistae to launch themselves and a glider for flying around. The series’ traditional weapon trees remain, and you’ll encounter different characters, but the twist is that the latter are also playable. Of course, you can also have companions (including Felynes) joining on hunts. Solo and co-op play for up to four is also available.
As for Monster Hunter Wilds, it launches on February 28th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
