The PS5 Pro-exclusive mode combines the current two graphics modes for a high-resolution, 60 frames per second experience.
The hype is building for the controversial PlayStation 5 Pro, which is out in the coming days. Sony published a list of over 50 titles enhanced for the console while updates have gone live for the likes of Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Lords of the Fallen. Add Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth to the list, with patch 1.050 now live.
Along with bugs, stability improvements, and whatnot, the update adds Versatility Mode for PS5 Pro players. Based on the description from last week’s short teaser video (translation via DeepL), the mode will combine Performance Mode’s 60 FPS and Graphic Mode’s higher resolution using PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution.
Early impressions from the likes of Digital Foundry indicate significant leaps in visual fidelity and frame rate, which means the PS5 Pro is the best way for fans to experience the game.
