Out now for $49.99 ($9.99 for owners of the original), the remaster offers heavily revamped visuals and new accessibility features.
Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is out now, with a new launch trailer celebrating its release. Check it out below. The open-world action RPG is based on Guerrilla’s acclaimed 2017 PlayStation 4 title and follows Aloy in a post-apocalyptic world.
Developed alongside Nixxes Software, the remaster offers a massive visual overhaul of the original game. Character models are significantly rebuilt to more closely resemble the fidelity of Horizon Forbidden West. Cutscenes sport new animations (courtesy of over 10 hours of new motion capture data), while environments have received new lighting, shadows, foliage, snow deformation, and NPCs.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is available for PS5 and PC. Those who own the original game or its Complete Edition can upgrade for $9.99. If you’re keen on a less dark adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn, there’s LEGO Horizon Adventures, which launches on November 14th for PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
