The game’s official Japanese teaser website has revealed some additional, new glimpses of in-game footage.
After seven years of complete radio silence following its initial announcement, Nintendo recently finally showcased Metroid Prime 4: Beyond at long last, showing actual gameplay footage of the long-awaited first-person shooter. The trailer was a brief one, giving us a look at what seemed to be an early section of the game, before ending with some brief glimpses of a forest-like environment.
It turns out, however, that there’s more footage of the latter that has been released by Nintendo. Spotted and shared by @looygi on Twitter, over on the game’s official Japanese teaser website, more bits and pieces of footage from the game have been uploaded, showcasing new shots of the forest environment that was seen at the end of the game’s recent trailer. The new footage shows more lush and dense forest environments, gorgeous waterfalls, imposing trees, and more. Check it out below.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is due out sometime in 2025 for the Nintendo Switch. Whether it will also simultaneously (or at least eventually) launch for Nintendo’s next-gen console remains to be seen.
