Players can modify their playthrough to have random loot and enemies, more enemies, pre-upgraded loot, and even Ironman.
Continuing its extensive post-launch support for Lords of the Fallen, Hexworks has released perhaps its largest update yet, Master of Fate. It adds Advanced Game Modifier Options — seven modifiers to enable before a playthrough — to significantly up the challenge. Check out the near-eight-minute overview trailer below.
Some of these options include Ironman, where dying in a playthrough resets any progression made through the world. Randomized Enemies causes all regular enemies to appear anywhere in the world, and Randomized Loot randomizes any loot found in the world and from slain enemies. There are limits for the latter two: named bosses can’t appear just about anywhere, and items required for quest progression aren’t random.
You can also opt for More Enemies, Pre-Upgraded Loot, which causes weapons and other loot to scale to your level and different types of Vestige Decay.
Lords of the Fallen is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
