Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Next Patch Will Fix Bug Preventing Platinum Trophy Unlock

High scores fail to register in the mini-game G-Bike, preventing completion of the side quest, “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop.”

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is an absurdly long experience with about 100 hours of gameplay (132 if you’re a completionist, per HowLongToBeat). However, if you haven’t unlocked that coveted Platinum Trophy, it’s because a side quest, “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” is bugged.

The bug was introduced with the latest patch and occurs in the G-Bike mini-game, with high scores failing to register. Because of this, players have been unable to continue other missions and unlock the Platinum Trophy, even after earning everything. Square Enix acknowledged the bug and confirmed that a fix is scheduled for the “next patch.”

There’s currently no ETA for the patch, so if you’re desperate – and own a physical copy of the game – it can be bypassed by deleting and reinstalling without applying the latest update. Otherwise, stay tuned for when the patch goes live.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is available for PS5
