Following its launch in Japan in September 2023, Falcom’s action RPG is finally coming to the West courtesy of NIS America.
After launching in Japan last September, Falcom’s Ys 10: Nordics is coming to the West this Fall courtesy of NIS America. It will be available for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC with English and Japanese audio. The console versions support English and French text, while the PC version will support Japanese text. Check out the announcement trailer below.
Ys 10: Nordics isn’t a direct sequel, like previous entries. Instead, it takes place after the events of Ys 2 and sees a younger Adol Christin visiting Obelia Bay. He eventually becomes linked to pirate Karja Balta, and they seek ways to disentangle their engagement. Of course, other conflicts break out, and it’s up to the duo to stop them.
The action RPG utilizes Falcom’s new engine for improved visuals and the Cross Action System, where Adol and Karja are playable together or separately, each unleashing devastating attacks. It also features new traversal mechanics with Mana and a ship for sailing through the region and engaging in naval battles.
