It all started with the Big Bang …
If you haven’t been keeping up with Fortnite, now might be the time to check in again! Three sizable new additions recently launched within the game: LEGO® Fortnite®, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. These are three new experiences separate from the original Battle Royale game you may already be familiar with.
Here’s a rundown to catch you up!
LEGO Fortnite
Welcome to a free-to-play, survival crafting experience with a LEGO twist. Up to 16 friends can play together within two modes:
Survival: In Survival mode, you decide how you want to play and what to focus on—as you explore the map, you’ll collect resources, craft tools, conquer threats, and uncover secrets. Where will your LEGO adventure take you?
Free-Build: Build, build, build! In Free-Build mode, flex your imagination without
worrying about some of the constraints you’ll come across in Survival mode.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, many of the outfits you already own in Fortnite will “automagically” appear in the LEGO Fortnite world. What does “automagically” mean exactly? Err … let’s move on, shall we?
Rocket Racing
The rocket-powered craziness of Rocket League® comes to Fortnite! Vehicles have been in Fortnite for some time now, but this is an entire racing experience, complete with speedy cars that can burn rubber on roads, walls, and ceilings.
And of course, there will also be different customization options for your car!
Fortnite Festival
Harmonix, the creator of Rock Band, is putting on a show for you and your friends! You’ll be able to perform hit songs solo or with a band on the Main Stage. The music spans multiple genres, and through your music mastery, you can climb leaderboard, complete quests, and compete in challenges.
If you want something a little more experimental, the Jam Stage is a place where you can mix song loops with friends to make your own jam session. There will also be a range of cosmetics to get in touch with your inner rockstar—including Outfits, Auras, Emotes, and Instruments.
