The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered’s Roguelike Mode Will Feature Playable Lev and Dina

The mode, called No Return, is confirmed to feature multiple unlockable characters, including some who have never been playable in past titles.

After weeks of months of consistent leaks, last week, Naughty Dog and Sony finally officially announced The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered for the PlayStation 5, and confirmed that one of its most significant additions will be No Return, a new roguelike survival mode that will allow players to play as multiple unlockable characters, many of whom have never been playable in past Last of Us titles.

And though Naughty Dog has yet to provide details on what that roster of playable characters will look like, two have been confirmed in the remaster’s official announce trailer itself, with gameplay snippets confirming both Lev and Dina to be playable. You can check out the timestamped trailer below.

Meanwhile, the trailer also seems to confirm that where the Lost Levels are concerned – which are three early development slices of levels that were cut from the final game – players will be able to see and explore a lot more of Jackson.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered launches for PS5 on January 19. It’s been confirmed that those who own the original game on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the remaster for $10 rather than having to pay full price.
